The Woodlands Lady Highlanders pounded out eight runs on 10 hits in the first three innings Thursday night en route to a 8-3 win in Game 1 of the Class 5A Region II Regional Semifinals at Waco Midway High School.

The Lady Highlanders got the party started immediately when Aubrey Leach gets a lead-off bunt single and scores shortly after on a Sidney Salmans double to center-field and RBI.
