The University Interscholastic League has inquired about the possibility of hosting the state basketball tournaments in San Antonio, an official at the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau said Friday.

“The UIL did inquire about the  Alamodome, and we confirmed the facility does have availability,” said Casandra Matej, executive director of the SACVB.

Matej in a statement that the city would be “thrilled” with the idea of hosting the high school tournaments, held traditionally in Austin. click here for complete story
