The Woodlands’ softball advanced to the 2014 UIL State Tournament on Friday night with a 2-1, series-clinching victory against Rockwall at Baylor’s Getterman Stadium.

And while a Region II-5A title is a nice accomplishment, the girls and head coach Richard Jorgensen are surely looking for more.

The Lady Highlanders (38-3) will face off against San Antonio Southwest (34-11) in the Class 5A semifinals at 6 p.m. Friday at Red and Charline McCombs Field on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. click here for complete story
