The Plano Senior baseball team had runners stationed at second and third base with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday in Game 1 of the Region II Finals.

Tied 4-4 with Atascocita at the time, the Wildcats couldn’t cover the requisite 90 feet of ground for the game-winning run and one half-inning later, the Eagles made Plano pay. Atasocita notched two runs in the top of the eighth for the decisive blows in a 6-4 victory to seal a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series at Concordia University. click here for complete story
