Oak Ridge’s Trumaine Jefferson is a quick study by any measure.
They’ll be measuring Jefferson’s long jumps at the University of Houston next season. Jefferson, the War Eagles’ state champion long jumper, signed with the Cougars after drawing interest from track and field programs across the country over the last few weeks.
Jefferson concentrated on basketball before joining the Oak Ridge track team as a junior, and in his senior year, he won District 14-5A titles in the long jump, high jump and 200-meter dash. Houston coach Leroy Burrell plans to use Jefferson in different ways. click here for complete story
