Students gain career skills at county businesses

High school students from a number of public and private high schools are getting real-world job and career experiences this summer through the Education for Tomorrow Alliance Student Internship Program.

Each summer, the EfTA Student Internship Program offers bright, motivated rising high school seniors hands-on learning opportunities in different career fields.

This summer, students are interning at PBK Architects, Spring Trading Company, The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, The Woodlands Children’s Museum, The Learning Lane, Montgomery County United Way, True Companion Animal Hospital, Conroe Chamber of Commerce, City of Conroe Fire Department, St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital and many more.

SIP internships are designed to provide valuable work experiences for students who are just starting to explore career options. The program offers a first step toward furthering their education and figuring out what direction students want to take in life.
