
The sweat had already begun to stream down David Ellingson’s face as the temperature at Strykers Stadium in The Woodlands crept into the mid 90s on a stifling June afternoon.
“It’s always nice to come back to The Woodlands and get back to this nice heat,” he says with a smile. “We didn’t get much of that back up east.”
Ellingson, for the summer at least, is back in his element. After spending his freshman season at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., the 6-foot-1, 200-pound right-hander has returned to his hometown. Ellingson, once a standout pitcher and first baseman for College Park High School, made 13 appearances with eight starts for the Hoyas this spring. click HERE for complete story
