Luken Baker hasn’t had much down time so far this summer, and that won’t be changing anytime soon.
Baker, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound TCU commit, has been busy doing what he loves most: playing America’s pastime. He’s been traveling across the country, showcasing his skills, and in the next few weeks, he’ll have even more of those opportunities.
Baker was impressive, both on the mound and at the plate, on his way to being named a First Team All-Montgomery County selection for Oak Ridge this spring. But since the summer months have arrived, he’s been hard at work, honing his skills and becoming even more of the total package.
“I’m working on being more consistent with my game,” Baker said. “Just being an all-around team leader, and being able to come out onto the field and gel with my team, as well as enhance my skills.”
One of the highlights of Baker’s summer so far was the Perfect Game National Showcase in Fort Myers, Florida, where he touched 95 miles per hour on his fastball. click here for complete story
