Three local high school baseball standouts will be traveling to California in August to compete for the Texas Rangers Area Code Team against some of the top prep talent in the country.
The Woodlands’ Chris Andritsos, College Park’s Beau Ridgeway and Oak Ridge’s Luken Baker will join the team Aug. 4-9 at Blair Field in Long Beach for the 2014 Area Code Baseball Games, a tournament consisting of eight regional teams. The Texas Rangers Area Code Team represents the best high school players from Texas and Louisiana. The other teams include the Oakland Athletics (Northern California), Milwaukee Brewers (Southern California), Kansas City Royals (Pacific Northwest), Chicago White Sox (Midwest), Washington Nationals (Southeast), Cincinnati Reds (Four Corners, Nevada, Hawaii and El Paso, Texas) and the New York Yankees (Northeast). click HERE for complete story
