The Woodlands’ football team went 2-1 in pool play at the state 7-on-7 tournament at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex in College Station on Friday, advancing to the championship bracket in the process.

The Highlanders will take on Lake Travis in the first round at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The Woodlands and Wichita Falls advanced out of Pool I, leaving Channelview and defending champion Southlake Carroll to compete in the consolation bracket. click HERE for complete story
