The Woodlands standout running back Patrick Carr recently landed a position on The Touchdown Club of Houston’s 2014 Preseason UIL All-Greater Houston High School Football Team.

Carr is one of four backs on the team, along with Katy’s Rodney Anderson, North Shore’s Tristian Houston and Lamar’s Ronnie Wesley.

“He is one of the best backs in the Houston area,” coach Mark Schmid said. “Of course, I’m partial, because he is mine, but he’s an exceptional player and we’re really thrilled for him to receive that honor.

“It’s always nice to have players recognized as one of the best at their position, and the Touchdown Club does such a great job of taking care of kids and giving them the accolades that make their careers special.”

Perhaps the only thing more special, Schmid said, would be a spot on the TD Club’s postseason squad. click here for complete story
