50 game match streak ends for Lady Highlanders at the hands of San Antonio O’Connor

It was a day of excitement for both the Lady Cavalier and Lady Highlander volleyball teams as they entered the gold bracket in the Pearland Invitational undefeated and seeded well. Win both games today, and they would meet in the quarterfinals tomorrow morning. In fact, asked if there was anyone in the 87 team tournament they were looking forward to playing, the choice was simple for College Park sophomore Kayla Black.

“The Woodlands, of course,” she said. “It’s always great when we get to play them, so hopefully we see them later in the tournament.”

However both opponents for the first round of the gold bracket were up for challenging the higher seeded Cavaliers and Highlanders. click here for complete story
