Conroe ISD administrators, teachers, nurses, librarians and paraprofessionals were entertained and inspired just in time for the start of school at the annual CISD Celebrate Our Schools event Thursday.
First-time teachers to those with more than 35 years of teaching experience were in the morning audience at The Woodlands Church.
“What an incredible life story to give your life to education,” said Dr. Don Stockton, CISD superintendent, who emceed both the morning and afternoon events.
“It was fun and entertaining,” said new CISD employee Lyndsey Christopher, who will teach at Mitchell Intermediate. “It will be a great year.”
“It was positive and hearing the stories was great,” said Mitchell Intermediate teacher Katie McLean.
“I enjoyed seeing the smiling faces,” said Meagan Gusler, a sixth-grade teacher at Mitchell Intermediate.
Besides student choirs, orchestras and bands from each high school, music teachers and those that sing entertained the audience with a rendition of Chicago’s classic “25 or 6 to 4.” click here for complete story
