The Kingwood High School girls and boys cross country teams opened their season Friday morning, August 22nd, with the Watermelon Run, their annual intersquad meet.

Girls
Junior Abby Guidry led wire to wire for the win, followed junior Olivia Thompson, sophomore Sarah Antrich, junior Erin Gallagher, senior Erin Greenwood, junior Amy Berg, and senior Jennifer Poston.

Boys
Senior Jacob Moore and Junior Reagan Thompson were neck and neck over the last half mile with Moore making a last second move at the line for the win. Sophomore Jeremy Rich, junior Harry Bellow, and senior Zach Alam followed close behind. Coach Tate Symons rested seniors Grant Tillinghast and Charles Mills for this event.
