As part of the University Interscholastic League’s 2014 realignment, the Summer Creek Bulldogs will now be competing as a 6A program.

The former Class 4A Bulldogs landed themselves in District 16-6A this season alongside two other local programs – the Atascocita Eagles and Kingwood Mustangs – thanks to an anticipated increase in student enrollment at the newest high school in Humble ISD.

Also in the newly formed district are The Woodlands, Oak Ridge, College Park and Conroe. Summer Creek head football coach Brian Ford believes it’s where the Bulldogs should have been all along, even though the team is taking a step up in class following three-straight years of 4A district domination. click here for complete story
