After three weeks (and four if you count the scrimmage with North Shore) of playing football teams they have played annually for a few years now, Memorial now has a pair of new never-played-them-before faces coming up on the schedule.
Summer Creek is the newest high school in Humble ISD and the Bulldogs are beginning their fifth year of varsity football. They have been a 4A school for the first four years of their existence, but have jumped up to the big boy rank of 6A this year and play in District 16-5A in Region II, which extends north to Dallas. The 16-5A consists of the three Humble and four Conroe ISD schools, giving them a seven-team league like the 18-6A, meaning they have to play four non-district games to round out a 10-game schedule. click here for complete story
