Football: The Woodlands sends a message in 49-3 rout over La Porte

The Woodlands didn’t let up.

Coming off last week’s upset of Katy, the Highlanders continued to surge offensively and overcame the loss of linebacker Corey Sanders to injury for a 49-3 win over La Porte on Friday night at Woodforest Stadium.

784x2048 (4)“It’s really a proving point,” said running back Patrick Carr, who rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns. “It’s us proving the point that, ‘Hey, it was not just an upset.’ We came out on top and we were the more physical team (last week). “This win shows what kind of character we have.”
