Volleyball: Oak Ridge defeats College Park, remains unbeaten in District 16-6A

Oak Ridge held off a furious comeback attempt from College Park on Tuesday night, defeating the Lady Cavaliers 25-19, 28-26, 22-25, 26-24 to remain unbeaten against District 16-6A competition.

The Lady War Eagles (25-3, 4-0) were led by Victoria Harris, who recorded 12 kills, 16 digs and two aces. It was Oak Ridge’s first victory over College Park (20-6, 1-2) since 2006 and the first win against the Lady Cavs for coach Tommie Lynn Sledge.

“I feel like they really played with a lot of heart tonight and really wanted to show that we are competitors in this district and that you can’t overlook us,” Sledge said.

Carly Graham contributed to the winning cause with 11 kills and 15 digs, Jackie Ward added 23 assists and nine digs, and Raigen Cianciulli led the team with 24 digs. click here for complete story
