The Kingwood girls cross country team traveled to Round Rock on Saturday to compete in the McNeil Invitational at Old Settlers Park, site of the state meet in November.

Facing a tough field that featured five of the twelve teams that competed at the 2013 5A state meet, the Mustangs scored 96 points to take the team title in the gold division over Smithson Valley (141), Lewisville Hebron (166), Katy (212), and 27 other teams. click here for complete story
