The Woodlands Highlanders (5-1, 2-0) may have a quarterback “controversy” but if their defense shows up big like Saturday night it may not matter as they knocked off the previously undefeated Humble Atascocita Eagles (5-1, 1-1) 24-14 at Woodforest Bank Stadium.
Starter Matt Bonaguidi played the first half and although he staked the Highlanders out to a 17-7 halftime lead and threw a pair of touchdown passes, he also threw three interceptions. TWHS HC Mark Schmid made a chance and put in last year’s starter Chris Andritos and although his numbers weren’t as good he did take care of the ball as The Woodlands didn’t turn the football over and that was the key. click here for complete story
