Cross Country: Meaux wins boys title at College Park Invitational

Ominous weather was closing in on the course, threatening to end the College Park Invitational prematurely. Connor Meaux, meanwhile, was closing in on the finish line.

The Cavaliers’ senior took first place in the final home meet of his high school career on Saturday morning, helping College Park capture the boys team title in the process.

Lady Cavs hold off Round Rock

The College Park girls also captured a team title with a score of 38, holding off a strong Round Rock team (47) led by individual winner Ashley Driscoll (18:25.34).

Georgia Burner was the top finisher for College Park, crossing the finish line second at 18 minutes, 39.47 seconds. Brittney Prince (fifth, 19:05.22), Sarah Batton (ninth, 19:18.47), Kaila Prochaska (13th, 19:35.00) and Stacie MacDonald (15th, 19:38.24) rounded out the Lady Cavs’ contributors. Oak Ridge finished third with a score of 103. The Lady War Eagles were led by Tori Valka, who finished eighth with a time of 19 minutes, 13. click here for complete story
