The Kingwood Mustang girls cross country team traveled to Seabrook on Friday for the Clear Lake Invitational.With their top seven runners resting in advance of the drive to the state meet, the Kingwood girls took fifth in the eleven team Division 1 varsity race.

Kingwood was led by senior Valentine LeBon, who earned a 13th place finish with a time of 15:53 on the 4K course at Miramar Park. Rounding out the scoring for the Mustangs were sophomore Kendall VanNatter (15th, 15:54), freshman Megan Eichler (19th, 15:59), junior Kayla Russell (32nd, 16:24), and junior Hannah Everett (35th, 16:27). click here for complete story
