Twirling: TWHS senior serves as baton twirling ambassador to Peru

For Lindsey McCormick, a senior at The Woodlands High School, baton twirling is more than just a hobby. It is a passion.

McCormick started twirling when she was five years old. She has performed with The Woodlands High School marching band for three years, has been to a national competition 10 times, practices up to six hours a day leading up to competitions and, most recently, traveled to Trujillo, Peru as a twirling ambassador.

McCormick was one of 14 twirlers from the U.S. and Canada selected to take the trip to Peru — which was sponsored by the Trujillo Lions Club — because she placed in the top 10 at Nationals this past summer. click here for complete story
