One week before the big game between both Woodlands high schools, students from both campuses participated in the third annual Two Teams One Goal Food Drive, a fun and friendly competition to determine which school could collect the most non-perishable food items for Interfaith of The Woodlands Food Pantry. “The students from both schools are truly dedicated to helping the less fortunate in our community and they put 100% behind this effort each year. The students were excited, and all of us are thrilled with the amount of food collected for Interfaith. It is wonderful to see the students work together to give back to our community,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. Interfaith provided large collection bins which were placed in the lobbies of the schools and each day, the food was collected and weighed for a daily poundage count. The total poundage collected between the two schools was announced during the pre-game ceremony on Friday, October 10. click here for complete story
