Kingwood quarterback Randall Graves threw for a season-high four touchdowns in leading the Mustangs past Conroe 41-29 on Saturday night at Turner Stadium.
Graves benefited from a strong run game that piled up 221 on the ground to use the play action pass to his advantage in the District 16-6A win. Graves finished the game 11 of 18 for 223 yards passing on the night. Kingwood (2-5, 1-2) fell behind in the opening moments when kick returner DeWitt Thomas couldn’t get out of the end zone before Conroe’s Henry Guillen corralled him for a safety to take a 2-0 lead with 11:50 in the first quarter. click here for complete story
