College Park moved into a tie for third place in District 16-6A after sweeping Kingwood 26-24, 28-26, 25-18 on Friday night.
The Lady Cavaliers and Lady Mustangs had both already secured their advancement into the playoffs. The teams are 7-4 heading into the last night of the regular season.
Senior standout Emily Thorson led College Park in kills with 15 and also contributed nine digs. Junior Hannah Erwin added 15 kills and recorded a team-high 20 assists. Junior Savannah Rutledge was the dig leader with 18. The Lady Cavaliers (26-8) pushed hard for the victory, taking two games with late charges and coming back from an eight-point deficit in the second set. click here for complete story
