The final weeks of the regular season are when district titles are won, playoff spots are clinched and, for some, postseason aspirations are crushed.
There’s a lot on the line Friday night as The Woodlands travels to face off against Summer Creek in District 16-6A action. The league’s final two playoff berths are still in play heading down the stretch.
The Highlanders (7-1, 4-0) have already locked down their trip to the postseason, but the Bulldogs (3-5, 2-2) have not. The two teams will battle at 7:30 p.m. at Turner Stadium in the first ever meeting between the two schools.
The Woodlands will be trying to defend its unblemished league record. The Highlanders are two wins away from back-to-back outright district titles. click here for complete story
