College Park swept Klein Oak in bi-district play of the Class 6A volleyball playoffs, claiming a 25-15, 25-20, 25-22 victory on Tuesday night. The Lady Cavaliers improved to 28-9 and will face state-ranked Austin Westlake on Friday.

“I thought we played really well,” College Park coach Candice Collins said. “I think it was a good match to get us started into the playoffs. We had a good crowd against a really good team and it was a good night for us. We stepped up to the challenge considering it wasn’t our gym and it’s a playoff atmosphere.”

Emily Thorson led College Park with 13 kills and contributed 12 digs. The Lady Cavs’ Kennedi Smith finished the match with 12 kills and 12 digs. click here for complete story
