545db28cb5ccd.imageDistrict title? Check. Regional title? Check. The College Park boys have had a spectacular season so far, no doubt. But when asked about expectations back in August, all of them replied with the same thing: “Win a state title.”

The Cavaliers will have the opportunity to accomplish that on Saturday at the UIL Cross Country State Championships at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

Led by two-time regional champion Connor Meaux, College Park has a formidable lineup with Walter Sagehorn, Adam Breaux, Colton Nettleton, Alessandro Topini and Michael Zin competing for the ultimate prize.

Other contenders for the state title could include Katy Seven Lakes, The Woodlands and last year’s Class 5A champion Southlake Carroll. The Dragons, who are the No. 1 team in Class 6A, finished just five points ahead of the Cavs last season. click here for complete story
