The Conroe Tigers had College Park on the ropes, leading 24-10 at halftime and holding that edge for much of the second half.
But College Park answered behind the tough running of A.J. Sanders, and the Cavaliers pulled out a 27-24 victory on Friday night at Woodforest Bank Stadium.
The Tigers finished their season 3-7 overall, but without a District 16-6A victory in six league games. They had a shot against Summer Creek and Kingwood, and they were within striking distance of Atascocita midway through the fourth quarter at Buddy Moorhead Memorial Stadium.
