After sneaking into the playoffs with a 3-7 overall record, College Park could be considered a vast underdog against District 15-6A champion and perennial powerhouse Westfield.
Just don’t tell that to the Cavaliers.
“We’ve just spent a lot of time concentrating on us,” College Park coach Richard Carson said. “There’s not a lot of people that expect us to win the football game, but as long as the people in our locker room believe we have a chance, then we’ve got a chance. It’s our job as coaches to instill that confidence in our kids, and I think we’ve done that this week.”
The two teams will square off at 7 p.m. at Spring ISD’s Leonard George Stadium. The Mustangs (9-1) haven’t lost a game since a season-opening defeat at the hands of Manvel, the No. 3 Class 6A team in the state. click here for complete story
