It’s hard, perhaps pointless, to compare state championship teams.

They become possible through talent, practice, commitment and sometimes a little good fortune. When they finally happen, the journey is all the more appreciated. Which is where The Woodlands volleyball coach Leslie Madison found herself on Sunday evening.

The Lady Highlanders won a second consecutive state championship on Saturday night in Garland, making it happen with a hard-fought 25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 27-25 victory over Clear Falls. click here for complete story
