Coach Mark Schmid still isn’t over The Woodlands’ 38-20 loss to Klein Oak in the first round of the playoffs. That may take an entire offseason to accomplish.
“It’s a tough one,” Schmid said. “I felt like we had an opportunity to make a good run, and our first-round game we turn the ball over seven times. It’s something we hadn’t done all year. That’s tough to get past.”
They also don’t have much experience recovering from setbacks like this. The Highlanders lost in the first round for the first time since 2010 – when they fell 31-14 to Klein Oak – forcing them to turn in equipment and start thinking about next year far earlier than expected. click here for complete story
