After trailing by as many as 10 points in the first half, Cy-Fair outscored Oak Ridge by 14 in the final two quarters on its way to a 70-64 non-district victory over the homestanding War Eagles on Tuesday evening.
The Bobcats (9-4) — who trailed 33-25 at halftime and managed to score just seven points in the opening period— went on a 14-3 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to grab the lead. Several key free throws from 6-foot-7 senior Bryson Lockley, who scored a game-high 23 points, helped seal the victory down the stretch. Despite its second-half performance, Oak Ridge (7-7) had its chances to pull out the win but couldn’t come up with enough plays to swing the momentum one final time.
