The Woodlands’ Cameron Burkett connected on a five consecutive 3-point attempts in the second half as he and the Highlanders used the deep ball to beat Klein Forest 72-57 on Tuesday.
Burkett began the fourth quarter with a trey to put the Highlanders ahead for good after The Woodlands lost an early lead in the non-district contest. Burkett finished with a game-high 28 points, coming off the bench for the Highlanders (8-5). Clay Creighton had 18 points – nine coming off of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.
