A year ago, high schooler Andrea Bone took her first college class at 15 years old. By 18, not only will she have her high school diploma in hand, but a shiny new Associate of Science.
Bone is able to tackle both degrees through a unique partnership with Lone Star College-Montgomery and iSchool High, a tuition-free public charter school.
“I love it, I’m so happy I got into this program,” said Bone. “It’s a blessing.”
With it’s inaugural semester on the LSC-M campus in 2013, iSchool has already garnered 100-plus enrollees. These students are able to take, simultaneously, high school and college courses. Tuition and textbooks are paid for through state funding. click here for complete story
