There is a 2007 regional semifinalist banner hanging high on the east wall of Marsha Porter Gymnasium at Conroe High School.

Deidre Vasquez led the team that put it there, and on Tuesday evening, she returned to the school where she roamed the sideline for nine seasons — this time as the opponent. Vasquez, who is in her first year at Oak Ridge, guided the Lady War Eagles to a 48-39 District 16-6A victory over the Tigerettes.
