Walking into Summer Creek High School’s gym on Tuesday, you had to check the date. It was early January and still about a month away from a possible playoff game being hosted by the Bulldogs.

No matter the time of year or the portion of the season, the stands were packed, standing room only, especially in the section deemed for the students of Summer Creek for their game against Atascocita.
“Well it’s a rivalry,” Summer Creek head coach James Bailey said. “On a Tuesday night, I commend them. Hopefully they all show up for school (on Wednesday). That’s great, this is only the third time we’ve played at home. It’s the first time the stands have been that crowded. I think it was good for us, but at times our guys got caught up in the emotional part of it. Now being in a game like that we’ll be able to settle down.”
From the announcement of the starters until the final horn, the crowd was on its feet and making its presence known, creating a real playoff atmosphere. click here for complete story
