From the get-go it was Atascocita in control, opening on a 12-3 run against Conroe on the way to a 25-5 lead at the end of the first quarter on Tuesday night.

The Lady Eagles (20-6, 7-0 in District 16-6A play) continued their impressive start into the second quarter rattling off a 9-2 run to eventually lead 42-10 at the half en route to the 68-29 victory.
“Starting the second round we set our goals on trying to finish up 12-0,” Atascocita head coach Valery Jackson said. “We’re taking one game at a time, we’re trying to stay healthy and stay focused. It’s easy when you go 6-0 in the first round and come out and not play as hard second round.”
In the second quarter, Shae Moore found her groove, scoring seven of her first half 12 points in the span of a few minutes, leading to a 16-point performance for the senior.
