Don’t look now but Cameron Burkett is heating up.
After a 34-point outing last Friday, Burkett backed it up with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds to help The Woodlands top Conroe 58-46 on Tuesday in a District 16-6A outing.
“There were spurts where we got lazy with the ball and lapsed in some mental decisions to give them some easy layups on turnovers,” The Woodlands coach Dale Reed said. “Overall, though, throughout the game, I thought we were really good at passing the ball and moving the offense.
“Defensively we did a good job rebounding. They are a great offensive rebounding team so I was proud of our kids’ effort on the boards.”
The Woodlands (17-9, 4-3), with the help of Burkett’s 10, outrebounded the Tigers 31-24. Burkett also added three blocks as a game-high. click here for complete story
