Payton Walker is finding her groove.
After scoring 26 points in her last outing, The Woodlands junior forward poured in 22 in helping the Lady Highlanders to a 54-37 win over Oak Ridge on Tuesday.
“(Walker) is just an all around athlete,” The Woodlands coach Dana Bruton said. “She’s super smart and that helps her. She’s really figured out a way to get inside and finish her shots with contact.”
Walker scored 13 of her points in the first half and finished with seven rebounds. She shot 9 of 15 from the field before being pulled early in the fourth quarter in favor of reserves. click here for complete story
