In the final team standings, Deer Park’s girls finished fifth with 53 points, three back of Fort Bend Elkins and their 56. Summer Creek High School captured the team title with 132 points, nipping Clear Lake for the crown by a mere seven points.

The boys team tied for sixth place with 40 points with Baytown Goose Creek Memorial, one point back of Dickinson. But the maroon and gold did defeat La Porte and its 33 points. Again, Summer Creek ruled the roost, but this time in more convincing fashion when the team scored a 138-111 win over Alief Taylor.
