Video: Montgomery County DA: Expect more drug-related arrests in MISD

The Montgomery County District Attorney said to expect more arrests in connection to illegal drugs in the Montgomery Independent School District.IMG_5089Melissa Beebe, 17, and Megan Polk, 17, are accused of tampering with evidence in a case that involves marijuana and synthetic drugs.

“We want it to stop.  I got enough people in jail. It’s not about notching the belt.  It’s about making the distribution stop,” said District Attorney Brett Ligon.  He said, “This is the kind of bottom-dwelling defendant that everyone would like to throw underneath the jail because they’re targeting youth to begin with.  The target is alarming, and then (so is) the type of drug it is.”

Ligon said six people have been arrested in connection with this case, including a 16-year-old who was arrested after a home was searched in Montgomery County.  Montgomery ISD police said they found drug paraphernalia there. click here for complete story
