After a slew of close games, Conroe scored its first win on the year with a 9-7 victory over Cy-Falls on Saturday to close out the Humble ISD Tournament.
“It’s always good to get that first win under your belt and to move forward,” Conroe coach Jeff Raymer said. “We played some pretty good games in this tournament. One of the benefits of playing in a good tournament like this is that you’re going to play quickly and find out where we stand, even though we didn’t always get the results we were looking for.”
Against Cy-Falls, Tiger pitcher Wesley Johnson hit a first inning grand slam to bring home Jordan Fisher, Dontavious Dickey and Nathan Litien to take and early 4-0 lead. click here for complete story
