Area distance runners set national marks and The Woodlands boys and girls teams swept the team standings at The Woodlands Invitational on Saturday.
College Park’s Connor Meaux and Colton Nettleton set the top two times in the nation for the 1,600-meter run and John Cooper’s Pedro Nasta did the same in the 3,200-meter run in the still early track season.
Meaux and Nettleton, who both also helped the Cavs to gold in the distance medley relay, went first and second in the 1,600-meter run respectively. Meaux finished in 4 minutes, 19.36 seconds while Nettleton clocked in at 4:21.22 in the mile run. click here for complete story
