For the first time in a long time, The Woodlands is the underdog.
With the District 16-6A season winding down, the Highlanders sit in second place in the league soccer table but they have a showdown looming with first place Oak Ridge tonight with a chance to seize back the lead.
“We are the underdogs, there’s no question. They beat us the last time,” The Woodlands coach Hans Kleinschmidt said. “We’ve had a great week of practice. We’ve prepared hard for this. It’s time to go out there and see what happens.”
Oak Ridge’s 21 points puts it ahead of The Woodlands’ 20, giving the War Eagles a slight advantage for first place – though the Highlanders have played one less game. click here for complete story
