Two students who recently enrolled at Willis High School in 2015 are suspects in a carjacking and police chase Monday morning at the school parking lot. An assault and car theft was reported about 7:35 a.m., school officials announced on the district’s website. Shenandoah police made the arrests about an hour after the initial report.
Bryan Carlisle, assistant police chief in Shenandoah, said that just before school started Monday morning in Willis, where students returned from spring break last week, a female was approached in the school parking lot by three juveniles who asked to use her cellphone. Police believe the female was handing over the cellphone when she was truck in the face, Carlisle said. The suspects took the cellphone and the vehicle, then fled south on Interstate 45. click here for complete story
