Behind starting pitcher Abby Langkamp’s strong five innings and a four run bottom of the sixth, The Woodlands cruised to an 8-0 win over crosstown rival College Park Tuesday at Highlander field. With the victory, the Lady Highlanders move to 16-6 overall and 7-2 in District 16-6A, while College Park falls to 9-11, and 2-6.

Through 5 1/2 innings, the Lady Cavaliers had hung around with The Woodlands, trailing just 4-0 behind a solid outing from starter Peyton Hutchens. But the bottom of the sixth would be the team’s undoing as Hutchens started the inning with back-to-back walks to Kelcy Leach and Kerry Martinez before hitting Leah Starkweather to load the bases with no outs. click here for complete story
