Baseball: Road proves tough for Kingwood

K with running mustangThe road was not a friendly place for the Kingwood High School baseball team last week. The Mustangs dropped a pair of District 16-6A games and look forward to returning home for a pair of games this week.
Big innings were Kingwood’s undoing.
District-leading Oak Ridge (7-0, 17-1) broke a 2-2 tie with a six-run sixth inning on Friday to earn an 8-2 win over the Mustangs. Chase Evans, Blake Gould and Travis French collected two hits apiece to lead the Mustangs’ attack, which outhit Oak Ridge, 8-7. click here for complete story
