College Park was led by the red hot Tyler Mortenson, who went 4-3 against Memorial’s pitching. He doubled in the first, then singled in the fourth and fifth innings.

College Park easily handled Memorial pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, 10 RBIs and nine runs scored. Mabee was charged with the loss. He was unable to get out of the first inning, walked four, struck out none, and allowed four runs.

College Park piled on two more runs in the top of the fourth. Roosevelt Henderson’s solo blast over the center field fence got things going. That was followed up by Cameron’s double, scoring Wilson. College Park scored six runs in the fifth on an RBI single by Colin Cameron, an RBI double by Chandler Morris, an RBI single by Tyler Mortenson, an error, and an RBI double by Nate Fisbeck.

College Park will return to the Diamonds at College Park on Tuesday to face Kingwood. Prior to the 7pm start of the game College Park will celebrate senior night which might take some time, since  eight of their 9 starters are seniors and all of them have committed to play baseball at the next level
